In a converted industrial building in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, the JULIA STOSCHEK COLLECTION presents contemporary art with a focus on time-based media. The so-called Time-Based Media Collection concentrates on video works, installations, and photographs, and includes works by Bruce Naumann, Marina AbramoviĆ, Doug Aitken, and Monica Bonvicini.

Various aspects of the collection are featured in exhibitions which change annually. In this conception, art-historical references in particular are highlighted, links between works exposed, and contents explored from a scholarly perspective. Also taking place in the rooms of the JULIA STOSCHEK COLLECTION are exhibitions organized in collaboration with other international institutions, curators, and artists.

In addition to the exhibition program, the priority of the collection is the augmentation and expansion of its inventory as well as its conservation and maintenance .
