Künstlerräume im K21

[Detail. For a full view, click on the picture] Chiharu Shiota, Trace of Memory, 2013, The Mattress Factory, Pittsburgh, USA, Alter Arbeitstisch, Stuhl, Faden; Dimensionen variabel, Foto: Tom Little

The K21 exhibits a different artistic position in each room on three floors. From 7th of July you can visit Chiharu Shiota’s (born 1972 in Osaka) new artist’s room, whose thread- installation transforms ordinary rooms into individual places of memory. The artist, who lives and works in Berlin, weaves relics of everyday life into a dense mesh of woolen threads, relieves them from reality and creates a dream-like atmosphere. With A Long Day and State of Being (Dressed) she created two new works for the K21.
